MVN Expertise

MVN partners are interested in anything that will energize credit union leaders to build member value. If you want to promote a winning idea, MVN would like to bring its experience, insight and creative energy to the table—introducing your idea to the right people, building a stronger business case and helping you creating technological solutions. Our MVN partners have years of experience in many different areas:

Data Awareness

Are you curious about the significant numbers that define today’s credit union industry? Do you consider your credit union to be a “data savvy” organization? Throughout their careers, the MVN partners have been driven by the desire to understand what is happening, where to improve, and which organizations are leading the way. Ed Callahan, Chip Filson and Randy Karnes have a unique perspective on the key numbers that drive credit union success as well as how they translate to everyday successes at your organization.

Leadership Services

MVN Leadership Services is a consulting practice focused on the critical leadership needs of credit unions. As credit unions have increased their service offering, the complexity of their organizations has increased as well. AS a result, it is more important than every to have the right leaders, in the right role, performing at high levels. Mark Elliott and Susan Mitchell have spent their careers consulting with groups and individuals to make sure that leadership is an organizational strength. Technological Solutions

On the surface, technology makes the world go ‘round. But underneath it all, there is still a business plan, people that have to execute, and both winners and losers. MVN is interested in looking at technology from all angles. The MVN partners (more specifically, Randy Karnes) bring an insider’s look at today’s vendor models and the potential for credit unions to have a new voice in this area. We will make you think, challenge traditional models, and work to bring you together with solution providers.

Innovation

Innovation is not just improving…it is leaping forward. Ed Callahan’s career is full of examples where he coached teams to leap forward for big wins through a desire to innovate. Mark Elliott’s involvement with monster.com is an example of a product that revolutionized a way of finding a job. Chip Filson pioneered the ability to benchmark credit unions effectively, changing the way each of us looks at credit union trends. Randy Karnes leads a data processing CUSO in a marketplace that is dominated by the traditional for-profit vendor model. Susan Mitchell developed and implemented a blended approach to training through computer-based tutorials and an online university module for credit unions, which truly made training accessible and available to everyone, (not just the larger credit unions).

All five MVN partners understand what it means to look for innovation that can change not only a short-term income statement, but an entire organization and its competitive position in the marketplace. It’s not that MVN partners know all the answers about innovation; we are in constant search of new partners and ideas. We wish to work with you.
